That is why the Small Business Center Network (SBCN) is committed to offering agribusiness support services including training and business counseling to help prospective farmers get started and existing farmers to grow their business and become sustainable. In the Southeast Region, the SBCN has partnered with Roxanne Reed and the Granit Training Group to offer the “Business of Farming” educational workshop series to hundreds of aspiring / existing agribusinesses at the following Community College Small Business Centers including (Brunswick CC, Cape Fear CC, James Sprunt CC, Pamlico CC, Craven CC, Carteret CC, Lenoir CC and Coastal CC). The SBCN Southeast Region is delighted to partner with Granit Training and the “Farm School on Wheels to take this training deeper into our rural communities. Our objective is to leverage the “Farm School on Wheels” to make it even more convenient for our farmers and agribusinesses to get the support i.e., (training, business planning and access to capital) they need to be successful. The Farm School on Wheels is the best resource available to reach and support as many agribusiness communities as possible!” Jerry Coleman, Regional Director, Small Center Network (SE) and Sr. Director, CFCC Business and Industry Services.

“Agriculture is the foundation of our nation’s rural economy. Farm School on Wheels will assist and support farmers with strategic development,” says Dr. Michael Barbera, Chief Behavioral Officer at Clicksuasion Labs.

“It’s truly been an adventure to think we kicked off with Business of Farming last August and now we have helped so many businesses in less than a year. I am excited to see such an impactful program like Farm School on Wheels take off. Not only does it impact the lives of agri-businesses, but truly makes a difference in their lives. In my role, I get to witness the student engagement in the classes and in our social platforms, and this program is closing the gap and filling a need for businesses and the fact that now we get to come to them! It’s also been amazing to see the great collaboration with our partners and how we’ve all come together to serve farmers across North Carolina and beyond. I feel proud to be a part of all of it and can’t wait to see what’s in store in the future!” Farm House on Wheels consultant, Janice Rojas.
