Working with Clicksuasion Labs over the past year has been significant in my life through the knowledge, experience, and the relationships I have gained. Having the opportunity to work with Mike, Damien, Crystal and the rest of the Clicksuasion team has been a gratifying experience.
One year ago, I was a college student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I was finishing up my final two semesters to obtain my computer science degree, and in the midst of this, I was looking to gain work experience in web development. Fortunately, Mike gave me the chance to gain experience while finishing up my degree. One year later and I now have my degree, and I am thankful that I had been given the opportunity to learn beyond web development. Mike has not only given me the chance to gain web development experience, but he has also been a great mentor and friend.
Before I started working with Clicksuasion Labs, I had previous experience with programming and web design, but I had yet to put that experience to the task. Admittedly, I was nervous when starting with the Lab. Once I began working, many of the uncertainties I had were quickly put to rest because I knew the team I was working with would help me to succeed. Damien has been a knowledgeable and patient teacher to me over the past year. I have learned a lot about front-end and back-end web development from Damien, and by working with him I have been able to accomplish web design tasks that I was previously unable to achieve.
One trait that I find to be special about working with Clicksuasion Labs is the connection that I have to my work. Mike does an outstanding job of including everyone and he encourages feedback and creative input, which further inspires me in my own work. Even when it comes to the creation of a webpage on the Clicksuasion website, Mike is receptive to the design ideas that Damien and I have. Any time I am able to complete a page for the website, I feel a great sense of accomplishment and ownership.
I have learned a great deal outside of just web design in the year that I have worked with Clicksuasion Labs. Prior to working with the lab, I did not have much knowledge of the concept of consumer psychology. “What influences someone to spend their time or money?”, “Who is the target consumer for a product?”, “How do you build trust?”. These were questions that preceding my work with Clicksuasion, I did not have answers. The past year working with Clicksuasion Labs has taught me a great deal about consumer psychology and business.
I am looking forward to continuing to learn more about web design and consumer psychology while taking on the exciting challenges that await.
